Lead Engineers:
We have professionals dedicated to project management specializing in water supply, treatment, storage, and distribution systems, as well as wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal.
We have extensive experience with on-site sewer systems for residential and commercial use. Additionally, we have considerable experience in the design, approval, and feasibility of group systems. These systems can be as small as three to four residents up to entire communities including residential, commercial, and recreational utilizes.

Company is founded
In 1976, the company is founded as Larry E. Speaks & Associates, Inc. on S. Hull St. in downtown Montgomery. Larry and his wife Ann began work in the upstairs bedroom of this house where they offered services similar to what we offer now. It is here where the company name begins to build its reputation.
1976New office at Summit St.
Larry E. Speaks & Associates, Inc. experiences growth and decides to relocate to a larger office on Summit St. near Oak Park in Montgomery.
1982New office at Martha St.
Larry E. Speaks & Associates experiences more growth and moves again to another new office on Martha St. in the Cottage Hills neighborhood near downtown Montgomery. The company spends almost 20 years in this location and during that time, Greg Gillian joins the company in 1986 and Steven Speaks joins in 1987.
1986New office at Herron St.
Due to continued growth and success, Mr. Larry Speaks decides it is time to build an office that we can call home. He builds a new office next door, on Herron Street, custom to the needs of the company in an effort to take the business to the next level. This is the building we currently live in today.
Company Founder (Larry) passes
Mr. Larry Speaks, the company founder and father of Steven, passes away in the summer of 2009.
Larry built this company and we work every day to continue the legacy he built. He was a mountain of a man, always acting in the best interest of his clients and his employees. The lessons learned from and fond memories of Mr. Larry still resonate throughout the office and are ingrained in every project we undertake.

Larry E. Speaks & Associates wins awards
Larry E. Speaks & Associates, Inc. has received the 2018 Engineering Excellence Design Award for the state of Alabama from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) in the Special Projects category for their planning and design of MPACT & LAMP Project – “Retrofitting A Dormant Mall”.
